airforce nutrisoda: focus

focus_face_lo

Parethesis (girl) and I were wondering if the "Airforce" in Airforce nutrisoda was the same airforce of our esteemed paramilitary industrial machine. Since the company site says that Nutrisoda has a commitment to the environment and other social issues, we deduced that it was in fact not the U.S. Airforce. That would be silly.

For lunch today I had the "focus" flavor. This soda has 0 sugar and 0 caffeine. I can tell. But, I don't hate it. In fact, I might even feel a little better after having had a few sips, better health-wise, but also better about life in general. I can see the sun literally coming out from behind the clouds right now.

I recommend it. It comes in a little red bull kind of can but is a bit cheaper. You can even buy "themed" multipacks online(christmas?).

Not as homoerotic as the Sobe drinks of my university years in the wilderness -- "Lizz Blizz" is an absolutely seminal beverage -- but I still wouldn't drink it. The container makes me think Herbal Essences or V05, & while I'd use either, but preferably the former, on my coiffure, I'd rather not imbibe 'em.

Hmm. What's with the Molotov reference?

But in response to neurotic wonderboy...

These drinks worry me a bit. The craze for vitamin enhanced drinks seems silly in an over-nourished society. Balanced diet = you have enough vitamins. For example, take a look at Slender (a terrible name, by the by, probably designed to play upon the neuroses of diet-crazed-America, but that's a whole other response).

"Nutrient enhanced airforce Nutrisoda Slender is full of the right stuff to help you healthily manage your weight.

Along with a healthy diet & exercise program, facilitates weight management with nutrients that help support the body's metabolism."

I'm guessing they're banking on the L-Carnitine factor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it helps break down fat in the body. But you don't need to drink this stuff to get your daily dose of L-Carnitine.

If you're a carnivore, have a steak. If you're a vegetarian, have some cheese. If you're a vegan, have some asparagus. If you're a 5th level vegan, you probably have brain damage from your B12 deficiency, and can't read this anyway.

In other words, just eat a balanced diet and you don't need to worry about spending your hard earned grad student dollars on vitamin supplements. Sheesh.

Track no. 2 on 'Donde jugaran las ninas?' features the best chortling laughter, better even than the Simpsons's television programme's Nelson Muntz, this world has known. I think it occurs as the song opens. & since the song is (largely) Anglophonic, therefore sung by El Gringo Loco, I just assume that the laugh is the drummer's, as well.

well, i've been known for my oft-controversial soda reviews, and this is no exception. Call associated press, because I'm making waves!
